Congratulations to Jamie Hoyt on his selection as the T3 Athlete of the Month. Jamie has been a member of T3 since 2013. During this time, he has achieved many accomplishments: numerous AG wins, multiple Ironman finishes, qualifying for Kona, and more. However, this recognition is more about how proud we are that he is a role model to his family, friends and community. He truly shares his love of triathlon with everyone, from his local triathlon club - Broome County, to other T3ers, and with his wife Kelly and son Aidan. His ability to evolve year after year is remarkable. He has tremendous resolve and motivation - T3 is so proud of him! Congratulations Jamie! #T3Proud

A:   For me IMLP is always special. It’s a great venue and having such a big presence of T3 support makes it even better! Racing in Kona is amazing but if I had to pick one it would be IMLP. I also really like the local races. It’s fun to race with my whole family there.

A:   My favorite moment was probably winning my AG in Lake Placid in 2019. When I started I never would have guessed that it was possible. Kelly and Aidan were so excited at the finish.

A:   There are many favorites. Generally I like a workout where I have to hit a number that seems just out reach…could be power on the bike or pace running or swimming. When I see a workout like that on the calendar I’ll look forward to it all week. Kevin is really good at finding the number that pushes me to a place that takes all of me for that moment. Could be a whole workout, a set, or an interval. I love that feeling.

A:   T3 has been great for me. The focus on balancing performance and family throughout the years has great. Kevin has been much more that a Triathlon Coach to Kelly, Aidan, and I.

A:   When it comes to all around cycling my son Aidan is by far the better cyclist….just don’t tell him! I think I can still take him in a 112 mile TT through.

A:   This has been very rewarding for me. A big reason I wanted to do triathlon was to set a good example for a healthy, active, lifestyle. Over the past few years Aidan really gravitated toward cycling. It started with mountain bike racing and now he races on the road as well. The absolute highlight for me has been racing with him at our local TVC races. Seeing him hold his own in a fairly competitive group…even winning a few races was amazing.

A:   Honestly I’m just really lucky. Kelly has always been understanding of the time commitment. I do my best to balance but her understanding has always been key. I’m also fortunate that Kelly and Aidan both embraced the endurance sports culture. Our social circle is filled with people we met through triathlon, running, or cycling.

A:   Hopefully racing in 2021! I signed up for the Patriotman Half, IMLP, and IM Indiana. Kevin keeps telling me my best races are still ahead of me…I’m going to hold him to it!
