Congratulations to Kerri Thomas, our athlete of the month. Most recently Kerri qualified for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships 2019, being held in Nice, France. This amazing accomplishment came at the Ironman 70.3 Atlantic City, where she continued to show her improvements, especially in the run. Overall, it has been a remarkable season for her, earning multiple podiums. Kerri earns everything she gets through an impeccable work ethic and desire to be the best. Consistently asking for more out of her self, she is a pleasure to coach, being able to create challenges most wouldn't beg for. A:  Escape the Cape - I love jumping off the boat and sadistically running over the sand dunes. Plus it was the race I qualified for AG Nationals in ‘14 and was my first major top 3 podium in ‘18.

A:  2015 USAT Age Group National Championships; 2015 Mohawk Towpath Byway Duathlon-1st place overall female; 2016 Middlebury Maple Half Marathon-Female Masters Winner; 2017 Glens Falls Lions 1st Place female; 2017 Octoberfest 40k bike race-1st Place Female; 2x Ironman Lake Placid Finisher; 2018 Escape the Cape Tri-3rd place overall female; 2018 Ironman 70.3 Atlantic City-3rd Place Age Group, 2nd place Age group USAT Northeast Regional Championships and qualified for 70.3 Worlds in Nice France in 2019!!

A:  My season started with the goal of completing Ironman Lake Placid with a PR which then turned into an attempt at a 70.3 podium and a ticket to 70.3 Worlds. Next season I plan on building on what I achieved this year.

A:  To follow the path it leads me on and see how far I can go while continuing to train hard and love this crazy sport!
